Slow Food Minnesota's evening of readings and food
Sunday, October 21, 4 p.m.
Lauderdale City Hall
1891 Walnut Street, Lauderdale (north of U of M St. Paul Campus)

Slow Food Minnesota held its third annual evening of readings, book signings, conviviality and food on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Three authors who participated in past Writers‘ Nights — Eric Dregni, Brett Laidlaw and Catherine Friend — were nominated for, or won, Minnesota Book Awards, and in early 2013 Atina Diffley won a Minnesota Book Award for Turn Here Sweet Corn. Between the readings, there was a potluck dinner for which Slow Food provided a dish related to each book (a corn soup for Turn Here Sweet Corn, a parsnip cake for Eat More Vegetables, and a kale dish for The Northern Heartland Kitchen) and coffee and tea.

Guests were:
Tricia Cornell, Eat More Vegetables
Atina Diffley, Turn Here Sweet Corn
Beth Dooley, The Northern Heartland Kitchen
